PURPOSE
1. Educating the public about civil liberties and human rights;
2. Monitoring government activities to ensure compliance with civil liberties and human rights laws;
3. Advocating for civil liberties and human rights in the courts, legislatures, and other forums;
4. Providing legal assistance to individuals whose civil liberties or human rights have been violated;
5. Developing public policy initiatives that promote civil liberties and human rights; and
6. Engaging in other activities designed to protect and promote civil liberties and human rights.
- promoting interest in, respect for, and observance of individual rights and liberties;
- promoting interest in protecting and preserving those rights and liberties;
- defending and fostering recognition of those rights and liberties;
- mobilizing individuals, groups and organizations to take action to protect individuals and communities internationally against abuses of those rights and liberties;
- and other complementary purposes not inconsistent with these objectives
