This statement is false and misleading. As a tenant of the residential complex, I am not required to adhere to any COVID-19-related protocols. I have also explained to my client that this type of discrimination could lead to serious legal repercussions and could result in costly litigation. Furthermore, I have made it clear that this type of action would be viewed negatively by the public and could damage their reputation.
Your client should be aware that any attempt to deny me my rights as a tenant will be met with legal action. I would strongly advise your client to produce the video footage and disclose it in full, or face the consequences of their actions.
These are not smart ideas. In fact, they are illegal and could result in serious legal consequences for your client. It should also include a statement that any tenant who feels they are being harassed or intimidated should contact the landlord or property manager immediately. The sign should also include contact information for the landlord or property manager, so that tenants can easily reach out if they feel they are being harassed.
